Episode 33: Why So Villainous?

Everyone loves a great bad guy! In this episode the Nerdherders take you through their top 10 comic book villains of all time. The guys also talk Star Trek Into Darkness, lament about LEGO, discuss the announcement of Xbox One and as usual, Dave comes up with something in Thunderdome that makes Matt and Ian scratch their heads.

 

Episode 32: Oh Oh, It’s Magic, You Know!

It’s a Dave-hosted show, so that means chaos reigns! The boys teach an introductory course on Magic: The Gathering in Thunderdome and chat about the usual tomfoolery such as Iron Man 3, lots of comic books and what happens when a purple worm swallows a dwarf cleric whole.

 

 

Episode 31: A Suburban Epic

By popular demand (or at least one listener) the nerds break down miniature wargame Epic Armageddon and the board game Suburbia. Also discussed: Matt’s adventures at Adepticon, Dave’s family road trip and how a paladin who turned into a frog ended up in a teenage boy’s pantaloons.

Episode 30: Thank the (Re)Maker

The boys are back to talk about movies they would like to see updated with a modern remake. The nerds also discuss board games Dungeon Command, Suburbia and Kemet, anticipation for Iron Man 3, Ian’s hopes for a Moon Knight movie, how to make a Green Lantern film that doesn’t suck and magicians as bank robbers.

The guys are joined by former D6Generation co-host Raef “Hollywood” Granger to talk about their favorite inventions or ideas from science fiction. The gang also chats about the board games Relic and Descent: Second Edition, they debut a new comic book segment to dissect Spider-Man and also discuss Raef’s Bizzaro gaming group.

Get your Nerdcaps on for the next episode, hosted by Ian and featuring the topic: What movies are ripe for a remake? To me, these are movies that we like, but could be done much better today. Perfect example is Justin’s beloved “Robot Jox.”

Episode 11: Have You Had Your 40k Today?

Resident 40k expert Ragnar calls into the show from within the warp (sounds that way anyway!) to discuss the Games Workshop Warhammer 40k Sixth Edition rule set.  We dig deep into each segment of the new rules from missions, movement, shooting, assault, and all the special rules.

Ragnar is an accomplished 40k player and member of an international judging panel supporting 40k tournament play.  His love of the game is infectious and we’re pretty sure you’ll learn a few things from him.

We briefly review our happenings over the past two weeks and the things we’re looking forward to.  Strap in, this is a long one, two hours of Nerdherder goodness!
